Securing “wood “strips

Molding strips around inside of slide out dislodged when placing something between wall and reclining chair. Unable to pound nails in , they break or just won’t go in. Anyone have this problem?

The factory uses a air nailer or stapler to fast most all of the bits and pieces in our campers.Ask your neighbors and friends.someone will have one you can use.

I have a pin nailer but I decided to re-secure the trim I had coming off with clear silicone. Applied a bead to the back of it and then used painters tape to hold in place until the silicone dried. Depending on temperature about 24 hours. Tape comes off clean and that molding is there to stay now. Did the same to the molding I installed around the back splash I put on the wall around the back of the stove. Any excess that squeezes out can be removed easily with a dry cloth but clean it up right away before it starts to dry.

Do you have a drill and drill bits? Drill pilot holes for the nails. Use a drill bit half the diameter or less of the nail you're using.
