Service From ETrailer.com

I have always had great service from etrailer.com, but all of a sudden orders are not being shipped timely as they had been in the past. I have had an order pending almost three weeks now, and my neighbor just got word that his shipment is being delayed also.

The reason etrailer.com is giving is that they are short handed and are behind unloading and getting orders shipped.

This is possible, but since they have always given great service in the past, it is now hard to deal with.

Covid has screwed up a lot of business.

Everyone that I deal with is having supply trouble. Even an order from John Deere that would be an in stock order is showing July delivery.......

But with the number of trailers both utility and campers being sold I am not surprised that etrailer is behind...........

I hate to keep blaming COVID but it still affecting the supply chain..

I had good luck with them in the past as well but I ended up cancelling my last order because of the delays. I ordered a new hitch pin lock and shank on 5/7 with and estimated ship date of May 14th showing. They confirmed they had the items but all of a sudden the ship date was 5/19. I called and asked why it would take 10 days but never really got an answer, something about different warehouses. Then when I checked the ship date kept moving, 5/20, 5/21, then 5/22. At that point I cancelled the order and got it on Amazon. It cost me another $40 for everything but I got the hitch pin last week and the shank is supposed to come today so I'll have time to set my hitch up before Memorial Day weekend. I didn't like the way the dates kept changing.

Recently I've had trouble getting Motorcraft parts which were always readily available. I don't think its just Etrailer.

It isn't just one supplier.
Right now in Ohio, there is an abundance of job openings and a severe shortage of people who want to go back to work since the government is paying COVID unemployment benefits equal to or more than they make if going back to work.

It's hard to find unskilled labor that want to work right now with the unemployment benefits so high. Many are making more sitting at home than they were working. Until that changes, this will continue unfortunately.

Arkansas is now refusing the extra fed benefits for the unemployed. We have lost a few good restaurants because of people wanting to live off the guv instead of working and the guv wasn’t even requiring a documented job search.

I've been absolutely flabbergasted how people are making more money NOT working. Why would the maximum benefits not have been what someone was making while working, at the maximum???

Yep, deal with this every day.

We're busy then heck at work, best year ever! Understaffed and the crew we have is overworked on long hours.

Supply lines of raw material are drying up and prices from vendors are soaring.

You can make more $$ on unemployment then taking a entry level job.

Yup, I know it's to blame on covid...NOT!

the unemployment people are giving benefits regardless of the cause of being un-employed... I know a couple both getting benefits even though he was fired from his last two jobs and she has not worked since 2019...

Shipping

Anything coming out of China is slow. I have seen the same from any supplier w/ merchandise out of China. Ordered 2 inflatable kayaks, 3 and 4 month waits-one of the companies is not taking anymore orders for year.

Yes! I literally waited 7 weeks for a muffler.
If something is not in stock then there can be delays. Some long, some short. I just got a delivery from etrailer.com in a couple days but everything was in stock.

It's been very difficult to get shipping containers right now worldwide.

I agree with most of the posts however etrailer's service has set the bar high in the past. In my case they showed my item in stock but they said it wasn't unloaded so that was delaying my shipment.

Just got word it shipped yesterday so maybe things have improved.

1. The money paid to unskilled workers is generally below the poverty line in most jurisdictions.

2. The Fed gov doesn't want people going to work during the height of the Covid pandemic for obvious reasons.

3. It was emergency legislation and needed to be enacted quickly. It was (is) no easy task setting up the program in a timely manner and getting aid to people who desperately needed it. With the situation, there will of course be people who abuse the situation.

4. Then of course we have the 2400 and 1200 payments to everyone. Many of us didn't need or deserve it, but I have yet to hear any of us refusing to take it or returning it.

5. According to the Federal Reserve of San Francisco study, only 1 in 7 people turned down a job because of the supplemental benefits.

6. A secondary reason of equal importance to helping those unemployed was to keep the economy from crashing like it did with the mortgage crisis and 911. It worked! It is time to readjust now and it is being done as we speak.

As to Etrailer, they are a good company with great service. Their tech support, both before and after the sale, is second to none.

This is happening everywhere in a lot of different businesses. Very difficult right now to find workers since they make more on unemployment. Overseas shipping costs have gone up 4x and the service isn’t as reliable and frequent which causes supply chain issues as well.

I have a friend who owns a restaurant and he can’t find waitresses, kitchen help or food runners. He normally gets glowing reviews but now that he’s understaffed and people have to wait, the reviews are turning sour.

I understand your frustration but I think we need to give the companies who have proven themselves over time a temporary pass and be a bit more forgiving.

I’ve always had great experiences at eTrailer and will continue to use them for their great customer service and product knowledge.

And please, go out and support your local restaurants and be a little more understanding and patient with them. They’ve been through a rough spot tougher then most and the ones that managed to survive need your support and patronage.
