Sewer hose recommendations?

So my wife lost the screw in fitting for the end of our sewer hose (she swears it wasn't there) so I bought a new one and went to put it on our hose but I couldn't remove the old one and ended up destroying the hose end and clamp. I have had our hose for about 8 years now and I think it's time for a new one. I have had no problems with our present hose

However I am looking at the Rhino Flex sewer kit and wonder if anyone has had one and how they liked it. Or if not the Rhino Flex what do you use and like?

I bought a "Y" adapter and set it up so I have hoses run from both tanks. I used automotive hose clamps to make everything tight.

I figure when your dealing with poo, you can't skimp.

Ours all comes through one outlet and I did try a hose clamp on the old hose but it cut in and shredded the hose, maybe because of the hoses age. Cut away a couple of inches of the old hose but decided maybe I am pushing my luck with this old hose. I think it's time for a new one.

I'm with ya Steve, don't skimp on the poo hose!

I use the Rhino Flex and I'm happy with it. It has been very durable and I do like how it collapses for storage, but I do wish it would resist expanding from its collapsed state when dumping. The black out of that large connection is to much for it to resist. It insists on getting longer no matter how I try to hold it down. It looks like I'm wrestling a snake.

It's better than the Dominator hose I had that came apart on me, luckily only dumping gray.

Thanks for the input Ron. I have never had a hose that doesn't expand when dumping though so I sorta expect it. I usually pull the black valve slowly and let the hose fill with fluid to weigh it down before I open it all the way. It seems to help.

I've used my Rhino hose for over three years . So far no problems.

I also have the Rhino, although I've only used it once so far. It seems pretty sturdy, and the FIL is the one who recommended it to me (he's used one for a few years now and likes his).

Rhino here too, one season so far. No complaints.

As far as the hose expanding, I always make sure to fully expand the hose out starting at the trailer connection first, then working towards the dump end. The dump end should have whatever slack is left in the hose and left collapsed. Next, make sure the hose is routed as straight as possible to the dump, making sure to only bend it within the expanded section. I used this method at the end of last season and seemed to minimize the problem. Reducing the amount of bends/turns in your hose will reduce the amount of restriction and turbulance within the hose causing less pressure to build up and expand the hose further. Hope this helps.

I purchase a kit through Camping World similar to the following. I liked it since I have 2 outlets and can adjust the hoses accordingly depending on the sewer location at the campsite.

I made holders to be able to store 45 ft of hose as shown in these pictures.

So far it's been great and very easy to clean up after each use.

Well I picked up the Rhino Flex today and used it for the first time at home to flush the black tank with the flush system. I have to say I really like it so far. Outside of the fact that I don't think the fittings were put on as far as they could have been out of the box (I put them on better) I like the way it collapses and stays that way. Takes up a lot less room in my compartment and much easier to put away. I also liked that when I disconnected it from the RV and started collapsing it toward the drain that the residual water was forced out of it better than my old hose. I also like the caps that come with it to cap it off on both ends.
