FANTASTIC!!!
We picked up our new 2015 282 RK from the dealer on Tuesday April 1. Our service tech did a great pdi and walk through, had all systems running, showed us elect, batt, and propane for everything. We arrived at 10am and he said he was ours for the whole day if we needed it. We left about 2:30 and drove into the sunset, proudly towning our new home on wheels.
Thursday we went to a local state park for a shakedown camp, near enough to home just in case (Punderson State Park, Newbury, OH). We had sunny bright day in the 50s, turning to high 30's and sleet at night, turned to greay and cold on Friday, heavy rain and 38 degrees. Perfect spring weather for the Northeast Ohio snowbelt! It soean't get any better than this!
Only one small glitch with the remote for the sabilizer, awning, jack, etc. Although everything worked with the manual electric switches, We couldn't get the remote to operate.
We had to program the remote but the instructions for the remote weren't in the binder the dealer gave us. Call to our service tech and he called back in about 10 minutes with the instructions.
We followed the instructions, no go
. Called him back and he called Lippert. They said the remote had to be syncd with the receiver which is a small black box with a button on it. I couldn't find this little black box anywhere
. Called the tech back, he called Lippert again, and they told him to look under the refridgerator. Take off the wood panes at the bottom and it should be on the floor. Who would have looked there
?
Anyway, everything now is good, the tech thanked us cause now he's learned something new, and all is working.
We had a great experience with the trailer, the dealer, the tech, so far and other than the small annoyance with the remote, everything worked as expected, and we're having fun!
