Sideyard parking dimensions
I am trying to determine if I will have enough space to park my trailer. If i built a retaining wall and shrunk my garage my 2 feet if I will have 11 get at the front and 10 feet at the back. For the members you have side yard parking, how wide is you side yard?

It might help if you posted year, make and model number of trailer since it's not listed in your profile or signature.
Some trailers are narrower than others.

I have a2020 rpod 189. It is 8'*20', but my question was more about the size of people's side yards irregardless of what they are parking

I have a Sandstorm 326GSLR. It's 38'7" long, and 8'5" wide. RV parking on the side of my house is 15' wide. Enough room to back it in pretty easily and put the slides out.

Your question really doesn't have an answer unless you figure the size of your rig and space available. If you are good at backing and are not going to open the slides or door then one foot each side and one behind. If you are going to use it while parked then the distance of the slide plus one foot and door plus one foot assuming you have fold out steps if you have the fixed style then the distance of the steps at 90* to the ground plus one foot.

If it really doesn’t matter what size a unit a person wants to park but you only want to know the width of a side yard regardless, here’s a fresh pic of mine.
I didn’t go out to measure it.

Unless your trailer is displaying WIDE LOAD and has a permit the maximum width is 8.5 feet. No travel trailer I've seen has such a sign or requires a permit.

Only you can determine if you have enough room. How good are you at backing your trailer? Some will back an 8 ft trailer into a 10 foot space with no trouble at all. Others would screw it up trying to back the same trailer into a 20 ft wide space.

My side yard on the right side is 200 feet and it’s 400 feet on the left side.
I’m confused by the question, but if your close to your property line you should check with your local codes and development guidelines. All towns have there own rules.

cpttimerstraint, I have same size trailer as you, it fits at the end of my driveway where normally two cars can park comfortably side by side. Don't forget: you need enough room to deploy stairs to get in and out of camper, if you plan on putting it next to a wall of any type. Irregardless. (Not a real word btw. I can't resist digging on people who say it, sorry. Like the people who think they own a 'InstaPot'! )

My side parking pad area is 12' wide. Gates open to about 11'6" clear. I can back in my 30' 5th wheel without any issues. Had a 33' with a dually Ford in the past and it parked there also. At the house AC unit, I have about 12" on the fence side that leaves about 18" on the AC unit side. As others have stated, it is all about what you are comfortable backing into.

I've watched people backing into many spaces. For some there is no way they would be able to back an 8.5' wide trailer into an 11' wide space. There are many, many factors to be considered here - how much "approach" space do you have - the driveway in front of the final parking spot? You can put an 8.5' x 30' trailer into a 9' wide space if you have 120' approach in front of the parking space to work in.
