Skirting Indianapolis

Anyone driven I69 to I70 at Indianapolis?
Best to go round the top or round the bottom to get to I70 west?
Any thoughts ?
Thanks

I like to go around the South somewhat longer route I think but the traffic is better. I do not like to run through Indy on I70 as that route will take you right down town.

I would go around the bottom. Take 465 south and go around town to 70 west.

Lived here all my life and drive all around the city daily. I70 through downtown is definitely the quickest route. If you're driving through between 6 and 9am or 4 and 6:30pm 465 is HORRIBLE. I70 westbound stays pretty easy going even through downtown in the evening unless there's a crash. Southern part of 465 has some bad construction zones right now and some narrow lanes last time I went through.
