Skylight protector

I just replaced my exterior skylight cover since it was yellowed and foggy from the sun. I was wondering if anyone his seen to be purchased or have come up with something, that will not blow away. to cover the skylight while not in use. I do this with my tires and a/c but have found nothing for covering the skylight. Hoping not to replace it again.

Just made a perforated cover for mine and after 4 yrs, the skylight still looks like new. No discoloration.

I thought there was too much heat gain so I painted it with 1 coat of white paint. Not as much heat but still enough light and some protection as well.

I do like it clear and don't mind the heat, I like the full light more. But would love to find something to cover it when not in use

Build a box and cover it when not in use and plan on making a lot of trips up and down the ladder.

Something like the translucent vent covers would be great.

I have MaxxAir covers on all my vents ~~ wish they were made for the skylight too.
