Slide out motor

Wondering if any of you can help, the motor for the slide out decided it no longer wants to work. I cannot find the exact part # or serial # to replace it. It is a Lippert RV-8000-1 Max 35A with s/n 58011099. I am still waiting to hear back from Lippert, guess I am just impatient, well I am impatient.

Are you sure it's the motor? I thought mine had gone out and it ended up being a blown fuse up under the frame by the battery.

I checked the breakers but did not think of a inline fuse. I was planning to check for voltage this afternoon.

Did not find inline fuse. I pulled the motor, connected it to a 12V power supply and it ran like a top. I am guessing toggle switch or inline fuse that I cannot see/locate.

Look up front under the tongue and back a little under the unit. Follow the battery hot wire. should be an inline resettable fuse. see if the needs to be reset.

The 12v system will work off of the converter without the battery for a few lights, etc. ... but.... the slide motor may need a lot more 'juice' of consistent voltage from the battery. Is your battery in good shape and is it charging?

I traced positive from battery compartment to inside of the frame, did not see any inline fuse. May be the battery, it is not dead, but is weak. My next step is to check voltage at the motor. Hope it is the battery, it will save me $100 if it is,

Do you have a volt meter? unhook the battery cables from the battery... The red cable should be 'hot' when the camper is plugged into 110. The convertor should be sending voltage to the positive cable to charge the battery. check the voltage and make sure that the
hot wire has voltage and the negative is grounded good. If no voltage... find out why.

the inline fuse should be under the front of the camper lip area. Follow the positive battery cable to the first area contact point. Is there a resettable (push button) fuse in that area?

Look also at the slide controller.

I just had the slide control board replaced under warranty on my 24RG. You could have that checked out.
