Slide out nail hole

Howdy, we had to have a 12’ Forest River slideout repaired due to the sales place shop accident, about three years ago.
They replaced it. Works fine.
I noticed that the tape strip, about 4 inched wide that runs the length of the slide out, has several tiny rips, and a few holes over each tack spot.
It feels like some of these tacks have risen. The holes and cracks do not appear to have gone through the tape’s glue undercoat so I think I noticed it in time.
My question is, should I lightly tap these tacks down and maybe nail down a few more, I already have the Dicor tape to cover it with after I give the old one a good scrub. Click image for larger version
