We purchase our first FR product 3 years ago, a Crusader Lite 5th wheel, the only problem with it that I did not cause myself was the air conditioner. New one installed under warranty. Note: air conditioner not manufactured by FR, but by Dometic. I did not contact FR, but instead contacted Dometic since the warranty was with them. Previously we owned a Holiday Rambler 5th wheel but no slides, would have purchased another but they have changed ownership and the product has suffered as a result. We are pleased with our 5th wheel and have towed it to Yellowstone NP, Smokey Mountain NP, Padre Island National Seashore and places between. Our three major add on's was a second AC unit, installed a 12 inch thick regular queen size mattress and installed two Honda generators.

This is true for any product people buy. Happy people just use it and enjoy. Those who are unhappy unload their displeasure at every possible opportunity.
There is another factor as well. People who are basically just unhappy with their lives and will pile on at every possible opportunity. They read about someone else's problem and when the same topic comes up again they join in.
I owned two Fleetwood built trailers totaling 38 years. Just like with FR products they had their detractors. Sure, I had to do some occasional repairs but they were more maintenance items than actual repairs. First one was already 7 years old when I bought it so the total service life of the two trailers was really 45 years.
My Forest river built trailer has to date given me no problems and any work I've done on it was "voluntary", in the form of upgrades.
Count me in as a happy camper in the FR family.
As for those who are so PO'd at FR a question: "Why did you buy it and if so unhappy where's the For Sale sign?"

So many Negative Comments? Any Good?
I have had two FR products. The Tracer was excellent. Only a few minor problems. The Forester had many problems, repaired under warranty by a local body shop and finally by the factory. As far as I am concerned the 2801 has the best floor plan of any C, and one of the few without that horrid (to me) overhang over the cab. Too bad they discontinued it. The Coachman Concord comes close. If I ever get to buy another it will likely be an A, unless Dynamax comes out with an affordable 32 foot gas version of the DX3, with the 2801 floor plan (full time bed and TV across from the couch). I know I am dreaming.
The 2801 drove great from the start. Hopefully I will have nothing but good to say about it from here on. If it were all I could afford and would be available should I have the opportunity to buy again, I would definitely buy another.

Positive
I am happy to post that we are very happy with our Forest River Sierra 5th wheel! In fact, it is our second FR Sierra 5th wheel! Our son now has the first one! We have had no major problems (other than the “China bombs”). We were also very happy with the vendor from whom we bought our current trailer, but he has since closed his business! Too bad!

Very happy now with our second Forest River RV in 8 years.
If you are going to buy an RV, you need to bring some skills to maintain them! That is part of RVing.
You are bouncing them on lousy concrete roads and shaky bridge approaches. These are not houses on foundations.
Camp in Missourah this year!

We love our 2014 Flagstaff 832IKBS Classic Super Lite we bought new. Have not had any problems I could not take care of myself. Though I guess I could rant and rave that FR is at fault for the mouse that chewed the side marker light wires, but it's not as bad as the mouse that died in the furnace duct of the Timberlodge we had before.

Had no intention of getting into camping. Previously fought off the youngest daughter for coulpe of years when she had tent camping bug. All was well. I retired and she and hubby bought a Vibe and made two East coast trips. Then they started in on us. Rode me like a sick mule until we agreed to "just go look". We go, told the salesman we wanted to look at some of 24/25 footers. Stepped inside three different brands and felt like I was in a coffin. He shows us a 34.5 foot Vibe 268RKS. Mamma falls in love with it and I can handle the size. We left owning the Vibe. The salesman never pressured and did not offer expensive add-ons. He made sure we got a good PDI. For us, the service during and after the sale has been exceptional. I think we have had two very minor problems that were not self-inflicted. Even the china bombs have been ok after 3k miles and two seasons.

We love our 2016 Cardinal 3450RL. It's a little big for many campgrounds but it is perfect for us.

That's pretty much what these forums are for- to snivel and cry about things that have gone wrong with our RVs. That's how we get educated and learn how to fix things. And we love our RV!

We bought a new 2019 Wildcat 32WB and right now are very satisfied with the unit. Is it perfect, no way, but I don't think any brand or model will ever get there. I have found quite a few things that stopped me in my tracks, stood there looking at the defect and somehow thought the longer I looked at it maybe it would fix itself. Mostly I said what in the h*!! were they thinking. I'm pretty handy, mechanically inclined so I fix a bunch of little stuff vs. dragging it to the dealer. In my book a good or great dealer is key to camper heaven and we have one! I will report back in a year to see if I'm still a happy camper lol lol

An unhappy camper used to be able to tell 10 people now it’s far greater numbers. A happy person doesn’t tell many. We are very proud owners of our 1 st FR Rv. Only keystone before. Ours is an 11 Berkshire 390 RB 360 hp. Very few problems. I shout FR praises when I can. The diesel division has given us great support and love Andy and the parts department

We love our Leprechaun. Its a 2018 and we have gone 21000 miles with very minor problems. The RV industry is known for lack of quality control but I have to say when we picked up our RV it was in great shape which I do credit the dealer for doing a great job inspecting before we picked it up. That is one thing I have learned from this forum the dealer you buy from is very important, low price is not always the way to go especially if you do have issues. Everyone travel safe.

Negative Comments
If you really stop and think about the number of complaints vs. the number of
trailers and mh sold nationally it is a very, very small percent.
I think with all the complaints I have read some just need a little guidance and
some need to read and then ask questions.
I have had two greywolf tt, a coachmen tt, and now a coachmen 5th wheel. I guess I have been fortunate. After reading the owners manuals I have virtually
eliminated my problems.
Happy camping, tootall1
