My parents belong to the "Family Motor Coach Association"
They love it - the bad part for us working folks is that they plan most trips during the week and are gone before the weekend so that does me no good and it is mainly for Motor homes and not Travel Trailers like us.

I am also intrested in a social camping group as well that does weekends since I work during the week and have my 4 year old daughter in VPK / Day care during the week as well.

Hopefully someone will chime in with some helpful info

I noticed you are in Aurora. We are in SE Aurora but it is Centennial. We are in a camping group with our church, Eastern Hills, which is up past Southlands. We have a bunch of families with kids of varying ages and some of the families are empty nesters. We camp all over Colorado throughout the spring, summer and fall. Our first trip (each year) is to Cherry Creek State Park Friday, Apr 22 thru Sun Apr 24. Come out and say hi or better yet, get a spot! We are in the Pioneer Loop.

Okay, anyone have any experience with a group called "Family campers and RVers"? Their website is fcrv.org apparently they have many chapters that emphasize differnt camping needs. i.e. family, singles, retirees, etc.etc and they get together for camping outings etc. Just wondering if anyone has any info....going to a chapter meeting on the 9th of April. Didn't want to walk into a cult worship kinda thing...LOL

I have been looking at the Good Sam chapters also. The FCRV group was the first to call me back and invite me to a meeting. Sounds kinda fun...

I checked out their website. I read the Indiana newsletter, looks like a fun group.

We belong to a Texas Chapter of the Good Sams Club now for over five years. Have meet and made some very good friends and have a lot of fun on our once a month camping. We have Spring & Summer Samborees and a Mini Ralley with just our local chapters. We meet on weekends but some meet during the week. If a chapter is not close you, you might consider starting one.
