Sofa vs. Love seat recliners

Has anyone with a FR motorhome 24TB replaced sofa with a recliner love seat? We are looking for something a little more comfortable just to sit on relaxing watching TV etc. Any suggestions? We have about 57 or 58 in wide.

We replaced our sofa with 2 recliners and a console between the two chairs. I bought them on ebay looking for rv furniture. Very happy since doing this.

Been thinking about doing the very same thing in our 23IKSS. We are active during the days we camp but, by evening, our (almost 7 decade old) bodies start to seize-up.

We love the flexibility of our 60" tri-fold sofa for "turtleing" but we're ready to swap for reclining seats. Problem is finding something that will fit into the 60" space!

We have a 3051 and replaced the jack knife with dual recliners.

We got the Charles 58 inch dual recliners from Rec Pro. We actually had a little more room so we added the center console after installing the recliners and verifying enough room.

Best upgrade we have done furniture wise. Extremely comfortable.

Enough room to walk through with slide in and enough room to fully recline when opened up.

We replaced the very uncomfortable jack knife sofa in our Series 4 Dynamax with 2 recliners which fit the 60 inch space. Very comfortable and fully recline to sleep if desired. Got them from Lazy Days RV who did removal and install as part of purchase price!

We replaced the uncomfortable jack knife sofa in our Coachmen Pursuit with a reclining love seat from Rec Pro. Did this before taking a 10,000 mile cross country trip this past spring. One of the best mods I've made and it made relaxing in front of the TV after a long day on the road Soooo much more comfortable. Highly recommended!

Thanks for the info. Do you know how much clearance there is under the recliners. I believe the 58 in would fit in our space however our furnace is underneath the sofa. Any suggestions?

I suggest you measure your furnace and then go to the display where you intend to purchase recliners and let your tape measure make your decision!

Newbie here. Hope the pictures tell the tale of just finished Thomas Payne Theater Recliners in our 2015 Coachmen Concord 300TS. Will road test the install in the Spring. Took the couch out (~128 lbs) and did an interesting DIY install of the recliners (~168 lbs). The difference in weight was offset by all the heavy stuff we stored under/in the couch storage area that will NOT be there anymore. The main problem I was dealing with was the OEM major wiring both above and below the slide platform. After the historical (hysterical?) problems I have had with the slides, I didn't want to mess with anything related to their operation. I built a 2 x 2 wood frame to mount on the slide platform that would raise the recliners above that OEM wiring and made sure the deck screws I used did not go all the way through the slide platform. The pictures tell the story if they display large enough to show the text in them. Feel free to ask questions!!

Thanks for the in progress photos. We have considered this but I want a recliner that reclines almost level so I can use it to sleep in. How much do they recline

Jerry, it is hard to express the amount of recline. We have Lazy Boy recliners in our living room at home and these RV recliners recline as much as they do. We haven't been on the road with these yet but when I was testing the functionality of them after completing the install I was impressed with how far back they did recline. Everyone's likes and dislikes are different so that is all I can say.

Thanks, the info helps. Seems like all the "recliners" I've seen (factory install) were not recliners but rather a raised foot rest.
