Go down to the local store and get a tarp and a roll of duct tape. Tape that thing up for your trip home. That should at least keep the rain and any additional wind damage when towing from happening. Put the door in your truck, obviously, but it will probably be a replacement when the repair work is done.

Remove the fridge. I would also remove the two cabinet doors or screw them shut with a very thin screw. They are likely to fly open and flap going down the road and be gone when you get home.

Made it home from the campground with out any issues. I removed the fridge and used bungee cords to keep the doors closed.

Once I got home I was able to use some more persuasive tools to wedge the door back into place until I take it to the repair shop. Before I take it to the shop I will remove the door for travel.

Thanks for the advice.

Also there was zero wind I was at most 100 yards away when this happened. It was definitely hit. There are gouges out of the metal door frame. You can't see the gouges because that part of the door is on the ground in the pics.

Thanks
Jason

For wind to have done that, the awning would have been ripped apart as well. And that little folding chair would be across the street. Others in the park would have experienced awning damage as well.

The spot next to you was probably a reserved spot. Did you check with management about who was supposed to be there?

Man that really does stink! Good job making it home.

I assume that when you noticed the damage you looked at all trailers around to see if you saw any new dents/damage? (My son-in-law's car got hit while parked at his apartment and when he saw red paint on his white car he saw a car parked with white paint on her bumper...when the police knocked on her door she immediately broke down saying she didn't say anything because her Dad was going to kill her...but her insurance paid for the fixing it and my SIL didn't want the police to charge her with hit-and-run so he just gave her good talking-to.)

Looks like you were close to the road in the pics. I would bet the back of someone's trailer clipped the door as they went around your trailer. Sorry to see the damage done.

Yeah the outdoor kitchen door was very close to the road for sure. I think it was the same thing, the tail of someone's camper going around the corner. Wouldn't have taken much force.

There really weren't many campers around, most everyone had left already. I assumed that everyone was already gone that were going to leave since check out is 11 am and this was at 12:30 pm. I knew that the door was close to the edge so I left it closed all morning. After lunch I left it open because I didn't think anyone else would be leaving.

While it's not my fault that it got hit I could have prevented it by keeping the door closed unless I was using it right then.

Not saying it actually was not hit, just saying from the pics posted I cannot tell.
I was trying to figure that out too, looking at the photos. No dent in the door, and why would anyone be in YOUR campsite to drive away?! Still an insurance claim and an interesting situation. Glad you have a good attitude and not letting it ruin your trip!

I don't know how your outside kitchen door got damaged but I think you should be able to straighten out the trim and hinges enough to position it close to where it needs to be. You should be able then to duck tape the door in place well enough to travel. If NASCAR drivers can duck tape their car hoods and fenders on well enough to go 200 mph you should be good to go too. The refrigerator and all the stuff in the kitchen will not move any more with the door duck taped in place than they would before the accident. This is nothing more than a little inconvenience. I hope it all works out for you.

Again, definitely got hit. There was no wind. No shown in the pics but the side of the door has marks/paint transfer from where it was hit. This site was very tight for or camper. All it took was someone taking the curve too tight and cutting the corner about 2 feet into our site and the door was hit. No question that this is what happened.

Insurance is taking care of it though at an independent shop of my choosing. Hit and run no deductable.

We were the last site in the row. Our camper was about 5 feet into our site, but since we were on a curve, when the door was open it was only about two feet into our site. I knew it was tight but we wanted that site because it was right next to the rental camper that our friends from England were renting.

I made a poor decision to leave the door open when going to the pool assuming that everyone that was leaving was already gone since it was 12:30 and check out is 11. I easily could have prevented this from happening had I closed the outdoor kitchen door.

I am glad it all worked out for you. You certainly did the right thing by taking it to an independent repair facility. Dealerships suck at warranty and repairs.

Beautiful work done at CW in Myrtle Beach. I have seen trailers come out of there perfect. Saw one class A I would have thought totaled came out better than new (sorry Newmar).

Bang!

I can see where someone just scrapping another trailer with the back end of theirs might not notice until they stopped and walked around the back of their trailer.
When I took the Newfoundland ferry with my Class C everything seemed fine until we got off and at my next stop I saw scrapping damage on the side where a pick up truck with a 5th wheel was parked next to me. I think when he left he had to turn sharply and scrapped the side of my Class C causing 4,000 in damages.
He left before me and we never noticed until our next stop and I got out of the motorhome!!!
Darn it!!!

The campground will have the contact information on the campers around you. They should give it to you so your insurance agent can contact them. Even if you get no money from them, they know that you know who they are and where they live.
