Spending the Canada Day long weekend in the US

Having good times with many Canadians at Darien Lake. We met a family that lives in our 'extended' neighbourhood. I define that as within our grocery shopping radius.

We actually back in Canada for Canada Proper anyway. I just parked the trailer in the driveway. Now heading out to a party

We are patriotic! Just not "IN Your face" patriotic. Not that there is anything wrong with being that way, you paid for that right in blood. We are the 2 best countries to be living in. Just which depends on which side of the border you live in

Not necessarily. We are not quick to brand people that way here, except if hockey is involved. If you have young children they are probably thinking more in terms of best dad ever. Old Guys

Oh the kids had Dunn. We booked the site last October and got a very good deal 6 people for the price of 4**, so our kids were able to bring a friend each. The kids bring friends was great for us too - "Ok kids you go do some rides and we meet back here for lunch, supper, etc...

(**Checking the current prices it was even less then the price of 4)

For the past few years we've spent Canada Day (which is my birthday also) in NY State with friends camping at their home. I have to admit the first year it was a little odd, but I've grown accustomed to it. We still fly our Canadian flag anyway.
