Spring over

Just got a spring over performed on RV. Gone on two short trips and last one was pretty wet. Between the truck and RV the water being kicked up is pretty substantial so l built brackets and installed mud flaps on trailer. While working on RV and looking at the work performed at RV repair shop l notice a nut backing off where the spring is bolted to frame of RV. So start looking at the rest of them. Really disappointed. It doesn't look like they torqued the nuts and bolts down and on the other side of RV there just as bad plus missing nuts altogether. And really, they can't install new hardware, they half to use the stretched out bolts? Had my grand kids with us on last trip, going over mountain passes. So pissed.

Not to sound stupid but are they shoulder bolts with nuts that allowed some play in the suspension and appear to be loose? Mine are tight but still allow some side movement in the spring hanger.

Not a hundred percent sure what you mean by (shoulder bolt) but have a good idea. Their threaded well beyond inside of shackle and the nuts have shoulders on them. Visited a Tacoma Screw store and they have some pretty unique nuts and washers. Now just have to get pass the stretched thread issues.

Here's what they look like below. They can be torqued properly yet still have some play in the spring hanger. The nut acts as a retainer and the shouldered portion of the bolt is more of a pin within the spring hanger and eye of the leaf spring.

Bolts look different. I'll verify later this afternoon. Thanks
