Storing portable waste caddy on ladder

I saw a picture of where an individual had the portable waste caddy strapped to the ladder at the back of the trailer. I thought this was a good idea until I did some more research and see where it is not recommended to store items on the trailer. Any thoughts on this? Thank you.

If a ladder can take my weight, it can take the much lighter weight of a caddy. Just make sure it's securely fastened and check it every so often to make sure it's still secure.

Yup, I carry my cart on my ladder. And my ladder is rock solid despite my nearly 300lb carcass scaling it like King Kong. **I see w have same trailer too.

That's on option for carrying it. Be sure to use good quality bungees, and a number of them in case one fails. If you chose to carry it in the back of your pickup, remember to put some water in it. I've had mine come close to blowing out at highway speeds. A little water gives it some wind resistance.

Mine is a bear, Rhino 28g. If that thing ever blew out of pickup, I'd be really impressed! It came with big hook like mount for ladder, you had to buy ratchet straps to further tie it down.

Having it come off was my biggest concern. I have it secured using 5 straps. Thank you.

5 straps certainly should hold it on.

I keep my 28 gal Rhino secured to my rear ladder with two Ratchet Straps.

In reality only one, and the hook built into the tote, are enough. Considering that a one inch wide ratchet strap has a working strength of 600+ lbs.

Lots of tie downs, on a ladder should be no problem, I am assumeing this would be for trash thats not to heavy?
