Storm Damage at Valencia, CA park

The winter storms have hit California hard. An RV park in Ventura has been evacuated at least twice, another in Oceano has had its access road cut off for a number of days trapping the patrons of the park, and the Pismo Beach State Park was underwater for at least a week.

This past weekend a flash flood in Santa Clarita took out the road leading to the Valencia RV Park and part of the park itself leading to the loss of some rigs. No information was provided on why the owner of the motorhome did not move it as the 5th wheel had fallen into the water the night before.

It’s possible the motorhome owner was not even at the park, but had their unit parked there on site.

It might have had its leveling jacks deployed preventing it getting towed away.

If the transmission was left in PARK like anyone with an automatic transmission would do, the motorhome would’ve have had its rear axle locked, preventing a quick tow away from the edge. A professional tow company (if they had been called) could have lifted the front end, disconnected the drive shaft, then towed away from the edge, but did anyone do that?

This video of the motorhome has been all, over the news. Think the owner spotted his own rig yet?

Good grief that's scary. That tree didn't take long to fall.

Sounds like they didn't have time to pack up before the ground got too unstable.
They were permanent residents and the park is without power. That would make it difficult to pack up and move if their batteries weren't charged.
I wonder if insurance covers this situation.
