stuff to junk

We got a new 2011 rockwood 8280ws, we were taking all the nice old stuff out of the old 2607, when the boss looks at me and informs me, "it is just junk, and we need new stuff for the new camper" so shoping we go.
I can't for the life of me figure out when all the old stuff became junk. Was it between the camper and the garage? or when the stuff was placed on the garage floor waiting to go in the new camper it became junk?

Michael

It's a woman thing, even my best jeans were banned from our new rig.

We collected ours 15 April and by 20 April the boss wanted the border removed from the walls, okay it does look better without it, what interior did you go for? I can send you pics without the border if you want.

Any way enjoy your new rig without all the junk you know the boss is always right!

"Yes Dear" rather than "What are you talking about" or "I told you so" keeps home life a lot more pleasant. Otherwise the trailer may become you permanent new home!

some of the comments crack me up - sounds almost like my father and mother - same thing my mother said to my father when they traded in the old motor home for the new one - this doesnt go with the new decor and we need new untensils and how about an area rug right here - I think it is a women thing

glad I dont have that problem cause I would be broke

"Blahh Blahh Blahh" ..... Let's go camping, Dear!

Problem solved.

You gotta learn to speak the language, friend.

Oh, and throw in a "yes dear" every now and then -- that's definitely necessary.

It is a woman thing...I can attest. Bought our first travel trailer this year and have had it for 5 days now. The old junk pots and pans from yard sales had to go - except for our collection of cast iron - and in its place is a shiny new set of Emeril cookware. Throw rugs had to be bought to replace the old rag rugs I used in the tent. Place mats to match our decor are now sitting on our table. My obsessive/compulsive self had to line every shelf and compartment with grip-it shelf liner. While I was loading up the inside with all of our stuff, hubby was loading up all the gear in the outside storage compartments. I wonder if he washed everything and made it all pretty and neat? I'm guessing not. I lived with the dirt and grime that comes with tent camping for 20+ years. In my opinion, we deserve new stuff to go along with the transition. Whether we'd have to throw everything out and start over if/when we get another travel trailer, I guess that depends on how old it is and what condition it's in. Or, egads.....what if it doesn't MATCH the color scheme? LOL!!

After having a trailer for ten years, the main thing when getting a new trailer was getting rid of stuff we never used in the ten years.

My DW wants to do the wallpaper delete. How did you remove the wallpaper, does a hair dryer do the trick?

Only a sharp craft knife is required, the border a self adhesive paper, just need to cut around window frames, on ours they must have fitted the border and the frames afterward. Pick with the knife at acorner somewhere and peel gently.

In our case it would be DH who thought we needed all new when we bought our first new camper. I am one who thinks if it still works, use it. We still are using many things we have had since our tenting days.
