I have a suburban water heater and this season it has started to smell like sulfer. any idea's on how to clean out the tank?? I have already removed the anode rod and flushed it out with clean water but not sure if that will be enough

It's normal. If it's going to be more than a couple weeks between trips, I drain the wh. Suggest you run a bit of bleach water through the hot water system. It will kill the smell and sanitize the lines.

Might as well do the whole system while he's at it!
Did you run RV antifreeze into your water heater? If so this will cause the hot water to smell. Best advice, don't run RV antifreeze through your hot water heater, bypass it.
