Surge protector

What is a good external surge protector? I've been researching online but all say they are the best.

Progressive industries 30 or 50 amp is the best imo. I put a good chain lock around it to deter theft. I got mine from TechnoRV - The RV Technology Specialists ... with the best service! but there are a lot of places to buy them.

We have a Surge Guard that we purchased at CW. It and Progressive Industries seem to be the ones used the most. PI has a lifetime warranty. Cost about $300 and up depending if 30 or 50 amp. On sale at times for slightly less. Would not connect to shore power without it whether at CG or home.
