Next time I buy a camper I'm going to ask them to take $200 off the price and deliver it without the cement filled mattress. Or at least replace it with a bag of rocks.

We put a topper on the queen rv mattress that came with our MH, replaced that with our residential serta and the topper, and last fall we replaced that with a 10" serta foam gel. Lighter weight than the serta from the house and no need for a topper.

The serta residential was super comfortable especially with the topper but was difficult to make up and keep it made. That's all been fixed with the serta foam gel

I'd rather take a camper without a roof than use the mattress I got. I think I would have slept better on the dying embers of my first fire than I did the first night sleeping on my granite topped mattress.

Seriously.. if you are going to put something that terrible in your product.. leave it out and split the cost savings with me. At least I wont have to pay to get rid of thing.

The general vibe I think I’m getting here is that the mattresses coming with many RVs are too hard. Dang, the memory foam mattress that came in our FR motorhome is too soft for me. I’d gladly trade for one of these hard-as-a-rock mattresses you all are throwing out, but ours is a bevel split short queen. I suppose they are not all that common.

I like a firm mattress.. but what I got was just 7 more inches of the plywood it sits on.

After our first trip in our new trailer and sleeping on the piece of plywood, we got a Sleep Number RV Queen mattress. We love the one we have at home. This is not the cheap option however.

Went with “Comfort Zone, 10" Elite Gel Mattress” for ours. It’s 1000x better then the original plywood mattress
