Thanksgiving in the woods

Daughter moved out for college this year leaving Dad and dog to their own devices which included buying a camper, A Rockwood A122, pop up A frame.

Love it. Camping near Washington, NC. No family, no friends (other than the ones I’ll make today at the campground). The dog and I will throw a tiny Butterball on the grill and as you can see by the picture he is the official biscuit taster.

Happy Thanksgiving from the guy spending his first Thanksgiving in the woods.

Good deal and Happy Thanksgiving. My #1 daughter is about to graduate college in a few weeks, so this may be our last one while she is at home.

Here in Canada our Thanksgiving comes much earlier but for us northerners it is the final outing of the year. It is my favourite camping trip of the year. No bugs. Cool evenings by the fire plus turkey and all the trimmings in the motorhome or possibly at the picnic table if the camping gods are smiling. All the best to you and your pup. Have a great time.

Enjoy your time and feast. I'm sure you will have visitors stop by. Thanksgiving is a great time to camp.

We have an aframe, and would rather be sleeping in that than a motel tonight! Took a long trip out west and then on to TX to have early Thanksgiving with two daughters and four grandchildren. Now headed back to VT. Maybe next trip we will take the camper??
