The "Birds Living on my Porch" Game

The idea here is to figure out what kind of birds these are that keep building a nest on my front porch. I don't have the heart to tear down the nest whilst occupied but once these guys are on their own I hose it down with the garden hose (together with the mess they leave behind) and they've come back two years now, anyway.

I think I know what they are, but not sure. We'll have to vote!

I agree w/ powerboatr, those are barn swallows. Right now we have 2 nests on our back porch and 1 on our front porch. They are messy, especially once the younguns are born, but they are great at reducing the insect population around the home.

My wife and I have an ongoing battle, she wants the nests down, and I try to keep them up. I like to watch them fly, love to listen to their song.

Good luck w/ your roommates!

Mark
