The guy who came up with my Water Filter Placement, wasn't thinking

I had the recent pleasure of dealing with it winterizing my 2009 Sandpiper 332 RLD. The tech during the walk thru warned me you might want to fashion a small catch bowel to catch most of the spillage, as you will have difficulty bringing a full container thru the bathroom vanity counter opening. No kiddin!

Came up with a turkey baster to draw most of the fluid off to get it out of there without drowning. I really got to envey those that have their filters in clear areas like the storage compartments. My old rv had a an outside add on filter system at the water hookup.

My filter canister is under the entertainment center, I put a small plastic bucket under the canister before I disconnect it.

Roger,
My Salem filter is in the same location. When I change mine, I put a bowl under the filter, unscrew the housing, then dump a little in the bowl. That way, the housing can be tilted to fit out the hole...where I can dump the rest out, and change the filter easily.

Mine is under the vanity. I just use a towel under the canister to catch any spills.

Water Filter

I feel so bad for you folk! I can't even reach mine. I have a Flagstaff and the water filter is in the storage area under the bed, that only be reached from the outside, and is about 6" past arms length away. I will be finding an exterior filter this spring. Oh Yes! The water filter sets above the water pump. I had to remove a flimsy wood panel to even find the water filter.
Who designed this!
