I'm glad we winterized as well although it wouldn't take but a small amount of coaxing to get me to hitch up and head for better weather!
My daughter goes to school in Slippery Rock and glad we gave her our 4x4 Pathfinder. She's not used to driving in snow.

All the best, safe and happy travels.

At the end of October, we towed our Micro Lite down to Tampa, then put it in storage there, rather than tow it back to NJ and winterizing. We should have stayed with the camper. We're now in the middle of the season's first snowy nor'easter wishing we were in Florida.

It finally stopped snowing here at 2 PM so I hustled outside to clear the snow from the sidewalk. At my age it takes a bit longer than it used to but I still get the job done.

I feel for anyone that lives north of I-10, down here where I live, we never winterized anything. Did have our first light frost this morning, the 15th of November. The grass is still nice and green and needs to be mowed, except the ground is too wet. If it does snow, everyone freaks out and whatever you do, stay home, these Cajuns cannot drive in it.

We even had a dusting of snow this morning in Alabama. Unheard of in November down here.

Lol

My wife switched on her Pandora Christmas station the other day. I ran screaming from the house.

Re snow and cold......

It was 29 degrees here on the Bay east of Pcola this morning. I will say, the Cypress trees in the yard are still feathered out and green. I imagine after last night, all their summer green will be on the ground, in a few short days. They stayed green longer then usual this year.

Yesterday I went out in my kayak to pull up my 2 crab pots, in my shorts and sandals. Caught my limit in red Dungeness crabs.

I have seen homes with Christmas trees up all ready with decorations on the outside. They will also be the first people taking down all of their decorations on DEC 26.
Yep, its also amazing how many folks in Chicagoland forget how to drive in the snow.
Now that the 1st snow has past it will serve as a reminder.

We had 5 inches since noon today. Blew the snow when I got home form work at 10 pm. Cars in the ditch all over the place. Thinking it might be snow tires for the wires car and park the truck on bad days, was a hairy ride home.

And Christmas decorating is underway at Home. We (means I help maybe) do not decorate till after November 11th.

I feel your pain, I'm just north of Dayton ohio. I was not ready for this crap yet.

I'm hoping to get 3 "nice" days in a row. I need to drop the trailer at the dealer for some service. It's parked out back at a buddy's house. I need to get across some softer ground and up a grass slope. Every day I've scheduled myself to make the drive it has rained buckets or snowed... Haven't had a day above mid-30's for close to 2 weeks and our "average" high is supposed to be 50!. ARRGHH!
