Where do you put the cinder blocks when you move to the next campground? I'm guessing you're over on payload!

I saw something like that at our place in Florida this past winter. Except this guy's camper was sitting higher off the ground and had absolutely no support, sitting up on those spindly jacks. I'd sit outside drinking and stare at it just waiting for it to fall over.
He stayed there for the weekend, also had a carny type trailer sitting there that he pulled to sell corn dogs or lemon shakeups or something.

I didn't get a chance to tour it but some friends said that the couple was very welcoming to folks to take a tour. The inside is very colorful like the outside and has all high-end finishes. Granite counter tops, stainless steel, and tile bathroom. I needed to pack to leave this morning from Destin, so I didn't get a chance to see it.

We love our TT but we sure did like the TC before it.

I thought RVers were an inclusive group but i feel some of these posts are borderline snooty. I remember when i could'nt afford a $50k rig, much less rv travel full-time. I would rather be a neighbor to the guy with a jerry rigged utility trailer than a guy with a $500k trophy on wheels.

While the camper crowd is mostly all inclusive, you should have seen their faces when over 10 years ago we joined thousand trails and rolled in next to a Tiffany diesel pusher with our popup being pulled by my 99 jeep wrangler... We did not fit in but they let us stay! LOL

I'm all for inclusivity. Been a tent camper, had a popup, now a TT. Camped next to rigs that cost more than I'll earn in the next 20 years, and tents that I could buy with the change in my pocket.

Regardless of the camping setup, I do appreciate a clean, maintained site. However, some situations make even affording basic maintenance and upkeep a challenge. I do empathize with folks in that situation, but I also don't necessarily want to camp next to them either.

I got a tour of a 30+ year old converted Greyhound bus parked near us at a Nascar event. From the outside it looked like it wasn't even safe to drive. In fact, the only thing that looked new were the tires and wheels.

But, on the inside you would think you were in a million dollar plus Prevost. The owner said he did all the work himself and still had over 200K invested. He did mention that included a new Diesel engine and transmission. It had the biggest bathroom I've ever seen in an RV.

All RV'ers that I have ever met are friendly, inclusive folks. I have never had someone in a half-mill class-A look down their nose at me, and I ahve never looked down at someone with a 20 year old pop-up.

With that being said, to expect RV people to not gawk or snigger at the unusual or downright stupid is to expect campers not to be human, and that is taking the expectation of RV people just a bit too far.

unique and easy to touch up the paint when needed. I like the fancy patterns on the modern rigs, but with as much touch up I have to do on a new MH, a single solid color or a thousand random colors would sure make life easier.

I would be a lot happier without the $100,000 bank note parking next to you.

We paid cash for our rig to avoid owing for anything. Debt free is the way to be.

This guy must not have a filter. Looks like his wife, girlfriend and mother-in-law all took a hammer to his new truck. I wanted to stop and chat but even with my experience with dealing with dangerous situations, I just kept on walking. Click image for larger version
