My wild guess is they are holding onto the shelter on the other side of the TT. I do like the contractor level on the bumper. Sometimes it takes some imagination to make what you have work. LOL...

Count me in as a former member of the cheapskate brigade. I thought $150+ for a cooler was ridiculous....

Till I got one. I now firmly believe they are worth just about every penny.

What makes them worth the $$$ is that they do in fact keep the ice a hell of a lot longer than my cheaper coolers. When we go to the lake for the weekend, I used to count on 2 bags of ice to get started and a bag or so each day. Now we usually stock up on supplies on Thursday and I just jack all the cold stuff in the cooler in the garage when we get home from the store with a big (22 pound I think) bag of ice, and that's it. I usually have ice left over to dump out on Sunday night when I am unloading.

At $2 a 16# bag for ice at the lake, it only takes saving 75 bags of ice to pay for itself, never mind having to drop what you are doing to make an ice run. I figure a year or two of use and I am ahead of the game. The big side benefit is that I always have good ice for my Rum and Cokes.

Tim

That's exactly what they are for, just looks like it's holding the camper together. More interesting is the fact their tow vehicle is on the woods side of that shelter with no way to get out until they take it down.

Well, if it is a Lippert chassis I'd say the straps are holding up the water tanks.

I doubt that we will use 75 bags of ice in a lifetime but the cheapest Yeti cooler I saw over the weekend was $350.................................... In the last 10 years I think I have bought 4 bags of ice........... I guess that I am now the cheapskate we use reusable ice packs that we got free....

No lie- I debated how to hold my awning closed while traveling and I considered that exact setup for 400 miles worth of driving.

Here's how to get cheap ice...

Buy a small commercial ice machine $2-4000 of your choice.
Obtain or utilize a freezer and some large bags(ice sacks from a source or buy 2 1/2 gallon ziplock bags.
Pay $30+ month to operate ice machine + plus maintenance if you can't do it.
$15-20 month for freezer electric.
Bag and store own ice.

Fixed.
