Ah love the fins , I've got to dig up a picture of the old rig. The Caddy refused to pull it anymore one summer and was replaced with a 69 Marquis. Learned to drive on that 429.

Add smokers to that list. Once burned, twice shy :-)

This beautiful Airstream came in last night. It's huge, triple axle. Being pulled by an F350 that was squatting pretty good, no weight distribution bars. Would love to have one of these.

Was sitting in camper this morning and heard a really loud noise, come to find out someone had not made sure the hitch was locked and camper fell on truck. I did not take any pictures, I told DW it could have been worse, he could have been going down the road. It was not pretty, he said he was going to trade trucks anyway.

Passing one can be less than "refreshing" too.

Glad you included RV's. Some people think nothing of that slow "drip, drip, drip, from their leaking Black Water tank valve and have either lost the cap or are too lazy to install it.

I knew someone who did that one morning. Woke up one morning, had a quick drink for breakfast then jumped in the truck to take off. Ripped the tailgate right out.

He joined AA that day.

He and my mom eventually married (My Dad had passed away when I was 19 and this was 20 or so years later).

It took this one event to make him realize he had a problem with the sauce.

NC is a little different...
Some of you really big 5vers might have to get Class B !!

Class A: Required to operate any combination of vehicles exempt from commercial driver license (CDL) requirements with a gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR) of 26,001 pounds or more.
Class B: Required to operate any single vehicle with a GVWR of 26,001 pounds or more that is exempt from CDL requirements, and any such vehicle while towing another vehicle with a GVWR of 10,001 pounds or less.
Class C: Required to operate any vehicle with a GVWR of less than 26,001 pounds that is exempt from CDL requirements and is not towing a vehicle with a GVWR of more than 10,000 pounds. Most drivers need only a Regular C license to operate personal automobiles and small trucks.

In IL, we have four different classes: A, B, C and D. There are also motorcycle classes as well. For IL, the four classes follow the CDL weight classes... but are not CDLs.

For example, my IL driver's license is a class D: "Any motor vehicle with a GVWR of 16,000 lbs or less."

If I need to drive a motor vehicle with a GVWR over 16,000, I have to start going up in driver's license class.

Again, this has nothing to do with CDL. If commercial, you need a CDL.

You would have to check the rules of your state. It may or may not matter.

Look on your drivers license. It should say what you can drive.

My cousin who lives in PA paid something like 70K for a new Airstream about 3-4 years ago. It spends more time at the dealer than in use. Major leaking problems, electrical issues and plumbing gremlins. Sometimes one doesn't get what they pay for.

Saw this in Colorado. Might be okay for a couple, but this family had two half-grown children, as well. Makes for tight quarters, especially with the outdoor kitchen in the back.

Saw this sweet '92 Geo Metro here at Ocean Lakes. Very nice guy from North, South Carolina said he just had fun doing it and they have fun cruising around in it. They tow it four down behind the MH.

Very cool guy to talk to.
