In Bisbee Arizona there is one of those exact units. In good shape too. The owner can't find some sort of air valve for the brakes, so it sits and sits and sits, but he fires it up regularly and it runs well. Cool bus/RV, but hard to maintain.

Lots of kids for the eclipse weekend. I was between this and another pair with a trumpet and trombone practicing fight songs. These guys were good and knew a lot more material. They also took requests.Click image for larger version

I've actually seen several of these. I think they get a good deal on the truck camper but don't have a truck big enough to carry it.

A Casita 17 without the front decal. I had one around 2005. Kept it 3 years and sold it for almost as much as I paid new. Used ones on high demand because for a new one you had to drive to the factory in Texas, which I did. No dealerships allowed.

Never thought about that, but I guess it's 100 percent payload when dropped in the bed of a truck.

Fyi, the clampetts didnt own a truck. Their ride wasnt a truck but actually a 1921 Oldsmobile touring car with half the body cut off. I won a $100 bet once off a guy who swore it was a chevy truck.

Stopped in there. I live about 100 miles South of the factory. They are very interesting and nice.

Used to have a Casita. Very durable and lightweight. This one is most likely a Liberty model with a king size bed that can be used as 2 bunks.

Mine was also 17' with a queen bed and separate dinette and weighed 3300 # on the road including bikes on the back.. Towed easily behind my Ridgeline.

Moved up to a 35" Georgetown then down to an even smaller fiberglass trailer.

Lol(laugh out loud) I was gonna post about that too. I struggled with that when I read about the details. Sure looked like a truck.
