Sadly, I had to give mine away in 1979. Well, I sold it but it felt like I was giving it away.

I absolutely LOVE the last 10 posts, taken as a 'Body of Work'.

Rabbit chasing, weights, real rabbits, camping costs.........all in a blast.

My kinda conversation! LOL

The sites here are quite angled with camper butts hanging high in the air.

This person got creative!

Is it normal to have a single pole 50amp breaker for a 30amp plug?

I know we had to have consistently exceeded 30amps and it didn’t blow. Though I didn’t check the heat/warmth of the adapter.

Looks gerryrigged to me. Are you sure your getting both sides of your 50amp supply. I've seen 50 amp 2-phase breakers with a single toggle before but they are bigger than that one. Not to mention about being against code with the empty spot in the panel.

I see a 30 amp breaker, empty space, and 2 50 amp breakers. I assume you are the yellow plug. Looks like you are in the 30 amp breaker but only you would know since you probably started off with all breakers off and turned them on one my one until you got power. Who, or what, is in the other outlet? The older looking black plug.
PS. Are you saying that the single 50 amp breaker that is on is providing power to your 30 amp plug?

I should have said- I’m the black plug in the lower right corner. It’s my 30 to 50amp adapter. It is protected by that 50amp breaker.

The yellow plug on the 30amp breaker is the rig behind me.

When I got there, both 50amp breakers were off. I turned the right-most breaker on.

With my 30/50 adapter, I had power to both legs.

As for being unsafe- it shouldn’t be since they’re just stabilizers.

OK. So your neighbor is in a 30 amp outlet running off of a 30 amp breaker. Your 30 amp camper is in an adapter which lets you plug into a 50 amp outlet running off of a 50 amp breaker. Hopefully it wouldn't blow since you are configured to 30 amps. Or is your camper a 50 amp? Confused why you are saying 30 amp breaker.

If I recall correctly he’s in a 50a rig. What it appears to me like is that the existing 50a socket on the pedestal went bad, and instead of replacing it with another 50a socket, they replaced it with a 30a socket hooked up to the 50a breakers.
