Wonder what it cost to ship your camper from Germany? Pretty cool way to tour the US. Interesting the brand name Phoenix is in English.

Also note the seals and thickness of the door.

Pretty sure my Forester would not fit on any of the roads over there but I would like to wander Europe in a camper.

Looks like two chains supporting/centering the hitch. Wonder how its attached at the front? A couple of c-clamps holding it to a cross member?

Overall it looks fairly clever and well used.

Today, I am standing on the side of the road at an RV park talking to a guy from Iowa that has a Columbus and knows Sye. Then this crusty old guy in a beat up pick up drives up next to us, shuts his truck off so we can hear him and says " do you guys know where Mrs White lives?" I just clam up and the guy from Iowa says " you ain't from around here, are you boy". The guy on the truck says well she lives in a white brick house. Ok now I get up the nerve to chime in. "You know you're in an RV park right? The guy from Iowa says just go out the exit and take a right. I think she lives one street over. The old crusty handy man say OK thanks and drive away.

So, the guy from Iowa can be just a helpful as SYE? Are you sure that they were not talking in code? I am now left wondering what kind of loud truck he was driving...

The truck was a chevy probably about 1980 with a custom exhaust primer for paint. Tools and paint brushes in the back. he weighed about 110 pounds and it appeared like he might have a slight drinking problem. Not that there's anything wrong with that. He was friendly but he looked like a guy you would see in an old western movie that was always hammered

I saw this camper today. I have no idea of you need trailer tires or just regular passenger tires. Click image for larger version

One small camper. Not sure I would fit sideways in that one.

Actually this is a friend's of mine mini-camper based on a 4x8 trailer. The back folds down as a work surface for food prep.
He loves it.

Things you see in an RV Park

This one tops them all for me as far as seen things in an RV Park. 2016 Newell, with 4 slides and a 20,000 lb trailer that carries two cars and has AC, a work shop and anything else you can imagine. This couple is from Michigan and spend the winter in their rig in Florida. Ran into them in Tennessee, just walked up with a couple of beers and asked them about it. Got a full tour. Really amazing motorhomeClick image for larger version

I'm not familiar with the brand, but I'm betting fit and finish is just a little bit better than the crap we get!
