Ah! I read the sign at least a dozen times, even with Evereddie’s help and missed it.
It has to do with our ever busy minds. We scan with a preconceived understanding of what they want to say and our mind inserts the correct word. It is only when we read each word looking for meaning and context do we see it.
There have been things I have written that I had to have someone circle the error before I saw it. As a person once said to me, “I know what you want to say. You are close but THAT misses the mark.” Too bad it is immortalized on a very public sign.

But then, considering the direction this thread has taken, those might be the Grammar Police.

Good call... my guess the women stole something from the store since they had her in the back and the fuzz were inside the store talking with staff. I had seen them in the tent area last night.

The plates are from P.A. I rarely if ever see an old mini camper around here.

In my home state she would be considered "Lucky". Here the tickets for following too closely are often worded "Aggressive Driving" and there's a hefty fine associated with it.
Same for unsafe lane changes where one gets right on the bumper of the car in front than swerves into the next lane in a "thread the needle" move. Ditto for doing the same only to pull in front of someone without leaving sufficient room.
Truckers complained so Troopers started riding with truckers and worked in concert with troopers in patrol cars or on Motorcycles.

When we bought our lake lot, it came with an old camper like that on it. I really wanted to restore it, as I thought it was extremely cool, but it had sat neglected for decades (plates expired in '83) and every seam had been leaking for years. There simply was no saving it.
We accidentally set fire to it when an ember from a brush pile we were burning managed to land in one of the seams and started the walls on fire. We kept putting it out and it kept flaring back up 20 minutes later. We finally had to break out the saws and filet the poor thing right there to get all the fire out. You can see where it burnt in the front-left corner.
I hated doing it, but like I said, there was no saving it, even without the fire.
