Just make sure the truck is straight in front of the trailer, and lower it back into the holes. It's maybe 50% more of a pain than regular hitching, so really no big deal.

When I winterize it here in Canada, the hitch always dangles from the trailer. Saves space in the garage!

I use a ratchet strap to keep the back of the hitch up and level so it pulls out and goes back in easily.

You got a picture of it? I’m not sure how to keep the hitch body from rotating.

I don't have a picture that shows it clearly enough right now, and the hitch is in the truck at the moment, since we're hooking and unhooking a lot with weekend trips.

I just use a ratchet strap that goes between the locations shown by the arrows on the diagrams (generic pictures downloaded from the Internet). It just hooks on the back of the slot on the hitch and goes up and hooks on the back of the pin box. I ratchet it quite tight before I raise the trailer to lift the hitch out of the truck. The strap serves to lift the back of the hitch to keep it level, and also to prevent it from swinging.

I have the BW slider and leave it on the pin sometimes, but it sure makes the landing gear groan going up with the extra weight.

I figure with around 2500lbs pin weight, another ~250lbs for the hitch won't matter much. No different than me walking into the bedroom really.

2) I did like it. It’s a great hitch and I feel it’s a safe hitch. BUT- the combination of my trailer, the fixed pin box, and my truck- our ride was just really rough. My wife deals with back pain and it just exacerbated her pain. We needed to switch to an air ride hitch or pin box. I went all-in with the air ride hitch.

Honestly not bad with 2 people, though I think the ratchet idea is excellent. I sat in the truck bed and talked her back to where it was mostly lined up. We got it so that it aligned on top of the rails, lowered + unhitched it from the camper, and dropped it in place.

I checked with the hitch manufacturer and they said it was fine.

As for the landing gear, I agree- 3,200 lbs pin weight. Another 250 for the hitch is nothing.

They could, but likely won't.

I do it all the time. Sometimes you get lucky and they all 4 line up. Sometimes I lower it in to the bed and release it in the bed pull forward move it around with a pry bar until they drop into the holes lock it down the back under the 5 th wheel.

Goodyear Endurance hasn’t been available for a good long time so it can’t necessarily be deemed a great tire yet but so far we aren’t hearing of any problems with the brand so they are looking good. That said, Jayco is likely installing the Goodyears as a marketing thing as much as for the quality of tire.

Assuming they are indeed a good quality tire, they aren’t the only good ST tire available in the market. Not every tire made in Asia is a “China Bomb”.

All I would want is that they install a quality brand tire with a Load Range appropriate for the GVWR of the trailer.

Same could be said for the Castle Rocks yet they (FR) chose to install them. It's all about whatever is least expensive and has nothing to do with quality. Jayco may be using it as a marketing strategy but I'd bet it will work for them.

The Endurance is getting positive comments, even though it's only been out, what, 18 months? Of course, it's going to be 3 or 4 years before we'll know if they're as good as said. Until the, I recommend Sailuns.

Lance comes standard with Endurance as well. I put them on both my Lances and love(d) them. Have them on a couple other trailers at work too.

No pic and this was on the way to the RV Park; class C passed us on I-95 dragging the black tank on the pavement. Now I have to wash the truck.
