The hoist on the back is operated by a boat trailer winch and it's used to lift his handicaped wife into the back. She stands on it, he cranks the winch, she's lifted.

All built on a Ford Ranger pickup.

Where there is a willingness, we'll find a way; congrats to the ingenuity of the owner.

Guess they were having so much fun they forgot to take time to eat.

A diet of s'mores isn't enough.

Maybe what they cooked wasn't worth eating.

Lousy cook, horrible food.

Why are people such pigs? Maybe the offenders should have their home addresses published with the suggestion that everyone dump their RV's in front of their homes.

Hi Mike,

We like your idea of publishing their names!

We have a similar problem here in Algonquin Park (Ontario, Canada). The one and only 2 lane dump station is 10 to 30kms east of the majority of the 1200 drive-in campsites along the access highway (hwy 60). Many people are caught every year dumping on side roads in Muskoka, on the west side of the park rather than driving to the dump station due to the 20 to 60km round trip going east and then back past their campsite again before heading south to home.

The majority of campers come in the west side as that is the most direct route to the Toronto area (Canada's largest city).

There has been a push for 20+ years for a dump station near the west gate; on long weekends you can line-up for hours at the existing 2 lane station.

We owned a 1989 Centurion "Suburban". It was a F350 Crew Cab long box, frame shortened about a foot, and the back of a Bronco installed in place of the pickup box. Very similar to the 1999+ Ford Excursions.

would not mind this at all if it had the range. Torque for days!

now to be practical, if it were a diesel hybrid with electric traction motors in it...THAT would be the ticket.

It probably isn't that far off from reality. Tesla already has a good amount of orders including Walmart.

Sounds like an opportunity for an entrepreneur who owns a septic pumping truck. Make the rounds of the campsites and offer a reasonably priced pump out service on site. Of course a business like that could get a big boost if the police were out patrolling at high use times and writing tickets to "ditch dumping offenders". Pump out fee $$. Citation/Fine $$$$$$$

That's a fantastic idea! We love camping at Algonquin PP but only one of the campgrounds has a dump station. Our favorite one doesn't - its 5 miles down Hwy. 60 to the dump station so too far to pull the tote. One of these days I'll talk my DW into letting me get a macerator pump so I can have the tote in the back of the truck.
