Benson, AZ Walmart
Not quite 5 pm and at least 7 RVs hunkered down for the night, but this triple tow definitely grabs people’s attention.

If you’re going to have all the toys, you need to move ahead into the rig that ends the discussion........”Will my pickup be enough?”
Pretty sure this covers that topic.

Your comment reminds me vaguely of a video I saw online, I think it was a VW Beetle towing a fiver with a roof mounted hitch???

Hi Rockford
That was the video!
Thanks
Anyone know who the manufacturer was, I'd like to read-up on the history of it?

I thought dblr's tractor is gray, has a shorter sleeper with a wedge shaped window. Also, isn't his 5er a Riverstone and smart car black?
I have never met him but he did post some pictures a while back.

Dblr was just a few spots down from us early summer in Gettysburg. I enjoyed watching them unload the car. We met Rennie and his bride at Hershey. Really nice couple

Seems that I have heard “Well, yeah, but does it really tow level?” In reference to that type of TV. Since I don’t have one, I simply say, “Ask him.”

my parents first camper
they started us out in a 1969 Apache Ramada, we thought we were were pretty fancy because this camper would raise its roof and slide out it's bunks with a waist height crank. then just wrap the canvas around the bunks. Inside it had three burner stove, pump sink, ice box, propane heater. Those were special memories...

I remember that “lift” system well. It took at least people to open set - one to lift the top and the other to slide the poles. If you weren’t careful, when you opened the other side, the top would slide and take you out.
Ice box (had to put ice in it like a cooler), no furnace (we used catalystic white gas heaters, wake up in the morning tasting the gas on your tongue), no A/C, no water heater, handpump water faucet with a small sink, no waste tank (water from sink drained on the ground), 15 amp electric, no battery, no stabilizing jack, no brakes. Pretty basic.
One night we had a really bad thunderstorm, the canvas moved in in and out like it was a breathing animal.

To all who commented on the picture of the tractor, Smart and camper, yes that is similar to what we do. If you search for HDT's you will see there are many more like us doing this, sometime at the Goshen rally there are usually 3-4 pulling with semi's it is not as bad as someone might think when you start shopping for a new pickup.
