Not at a campground but in the middle of Algonquin Provincial Park.

Jan 22, 2019; -24c (-11f). This is the day before I pulled out full-time for the winter.

Club Car is a 38 year-old 36volt battery job; used by me for maintenance. (Yes, that is a filing cabinet, full of electrical and plumbing parts)

Note, Winter in the Wild is this coming weekend, Feb 26, Ontario's first long weekend of the year. A winter experience at the only campground, Mew Lake, open all winter in Algonquin.

Feb 03, 2019; 0c (32f). Our 8km (5m) road in now has 30" of snow on it when I left 2 weeks ago only 16" snow on road; only way in is by Quad on tracks (or snowmobile)
See poor golf-cart now buried under snow dreaming of frolicking in the warm sun in a few weeks!

Not at a campground but in the middle of Algonquin Provincial Park.

Feb 04, 2019; +2c (36f) 24 hours later it was back to normal -16c (+3f). Steady drizzle all day. The reason to come in was to remove some of the deeper snow from roof tops (up to 1.5m (5') where drifted) I made two 16km round trips this morning to pick-up the 2 guys who removed the snow, we all left at 6pm in one trip!!!

Yesterday there was over a metre (3+ft) of snow on the ground; a metre of ice on the lake, in a little over 3 months guests will be swimming in the lake. In 2018, ice-out was May 07, by Nov 02 the lake froze over completely. First time in my 16 years here I have seen the lake open for less the 6 months; and we're in Central Ontario at 46 degrees north latitude.
For you down south people, the open water at the 40m dock is due to bubblers which keep the water open to prevent the ice from tearing the dock apart.

Note, Winter in the Wild is this coming weekend, Feb 26, Ontario's first long weekend of the year. A winter experience at the only campground, Mew Lake, open all winter in Algonquin; and yes, people do camp in tents, TTs, MHs and even quinzees.

Angry !!!!!!!Winter in the Wild Date Correction!!!!!!!!

Note, Winter in the Wild is this coming weekend, Feb 26, Ontario's first long weekend of the year. A winter experience at the only campground, Mew Lake, open all winter in Algonquin; and yes, people do camp in tents, TTs, MHs and even quinzees.

Sorry readers I made a major mistake with the date of Winter in the Wild.
It is this coming weekend February 16 not the 26 which is midweek.

Lack of proofreading by myself allowed the typo.

Sincere appologies for the confusion, please blame it on me having to live in town for the next 11 or 12 weeks instead of in The Park!

I was in Mew Lake camping on Dec 1st. It was my 4th weekend there since we got the new trailer, and I love it. We relocated to North Bay, and I have a really cheap spot to park the trailer, secure compound for $60 for the year. Unfortunately, that doesn't include snow removal, and I got the trailer stuck trying to park it, and had to spend about 2 hours with a snowblower to be able to get it in my spot. Now, you can't even open the gate to get in, so I won't be able to make it.

I personally would NOT want to be anywhere near this thing when its set up. cool concept, but in any situation with high winds, i dont see how any stabilizer jacks (except for outriggers) are going to help a 2 story truck stay upright. plus, you need key cards for the bedrooms? do they not trust their guests to stay out or not steal their things? wrong crowd for me.

That looks similar to the one the NBC Sports Team uses at the Tour de France for their broadcast booth.

A couple of garbage related ones. First, the unsightly:

Fortunately, it disappeared after 2 or 3 days. But boy did it stink!

And then, I heard a car pulling what I thought was a sewer tote behind it. Not too unusual, but I thought every site had full hookups. When it went past, though- it was a guy sitting in the trunk pulling a large trash can! I didn't get a picture in time, but my wife caught this on their way back:

Yep, We know that feeling. We park our TT in Dwight, $100 per year but the person keeping part of the lot ploughed pushes the snow towards my TT so by February we cannot get it out till May at which time I'm back at work in The Park anyway.

Cheers

More a something to see in a campground. Time to plan a visit to SE Michigan...
One word of warning - While Camp Dearborn is a really nice park, the water has a very high iron content. Expect staining if hooked up to the water.

Donít miss the opportunity to see and inspect these iconic travel trailers during the groupís Open House, Saturday, May 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. when approximately 160 vintage trailers and coaches -- dating from the 1930s through the 1980s -- will be open to visitors.
