Every time I am ready to pull away I do a final walk around checking all doors, sides, top and bottom before I get in the drivers seat. Decades of driving emergency vehicles has ingrained this walk around into my brain.

Yep... or simply look in your mirrors once in a while or especially before you pull out!
While I 'maybe' couldn't see an opened awning (too high but maybe I could in the convex part of the mirror) I CAN see the arms and it is easy to see if they are not collapsed onto each other. ESPECIALLY with my hold down poles and brackets!

I just watched a video on the 2020 medium duty vs 3500 drw. The 3500 had a lot more tow capacity but the 6500 killed it in pay load. Also the medium has a reduced amount of hp and torque.

They excel at tow capacity. They will not win any speed races. They also ride rough, you may need new kidneys by the time you get to the campground. LOL
You have to admit though, the cool factor is definitely there when you pull into the CG with a decked out "truck".
It would cost too much for me to realistically convert one to be comfortable enough to tow my current trailer.
It is always fun to look and dream what you would do if money was no object. Class 8 truck might be in order. LOL

Friendship Village is abt 30 miles from my house, also.... but north of me. [emoji1] Rains hit hard here, too.
Last place we stayed in Indiana, sewer ports were a little low, I thought. But then again, it was an older CG.

We made a pact a long time ago.... one does the initial check, the other goes behind a short time later and double checks. We figured it was better than blaming each other.

It is a great place with lots to see near it, might try to look into holding a rally there but just in the thinking stage right now.

Pretty cool rig! Guy ordered in the US but picked it up at the plant in Africa. Spent 3 yrs wandering Africa and had it shipped home. It’s called a UEV for Urban Escape Vehicle. Jeep also had a Diesel engine.

I may be wrong, but it looks like the UEV and the Jeep share the same wheel and tire size. If so, thats some pretty good thinking.

I thought about doing the same size tires, but I think my little A122S would look silly with 33 x 10.5 / 17.

A turret-mount might be a popular option.

I hear it's standard on the Iraqi and Afghanistan models.
