It's more of an everyday issue than the what if of a big failure. If you hear of neat sight to see nearby or an amazing place to have breakfast, are you going to pack up the RV to go have breakfast or look at the replica of stone hedge. Probably not, so I consider having a daily driver a must.

Echo what others have said. My biggest reason for having a TOAD, as a person of increasing age, is for possible emergency purposes. If I need to get to a hospital quickly, I don't want my wife or me to have to get everything unhooked and stowed, and then drive it to a medical facility. Much better peace of mind to know that we can just jump into the TOAD at a moments notice and drive away. Plus, if we forget something, like we did our last time out, it's much easier to hop in the TOAD and drive to the nearest convenience store to purchase the item.

[QUOTE=CAT-RN;2669174]Never know the situation? Maybe they forgot to make their payments?

Don't think so.... they were staying in it for a few days out on the road and their boat was on the site. The had the mechanic out there but this was probably their check out day... not sure where they were going or how the boat was getting out of the park

This spent the night last night at Montana de Oro state park. The owners are from Italy and have been traveling for a year now.. The pictures don't convey the size of the monster. The bottom of the door is close to 5 ft. Off the ground!Click image for larger version

A what?

I'm assuming that means that it has a 158 gallon fresh water tank - with tank heating, to prevent freezing....?

Surely they don't think we are going to drink 158 gallons of anti-freeze?

As to the rig itself, I shudder at the idea of carrying 1,300 pounds of water. I wonder what the fuel capacity is, and the size of the black and gray tanks?

edit: clicked through to the manufacturer's website - they describe the fresh water tank as "freeze-proof", which makes much more sense. It looks like they have a 39.6 gallon gray tank and a 31 gallon black. Hmmm. They must be anticipating a lot of outdoor showers! Nothing listed about fuel capacity.

Is that rust all over that thing or has it been painted to look old and beat?

Not sure the fridge could work or if you can even stay in the bed without rolling out. I have no clue why they didn't level but it's pretty far off. Been here a week.Attachment 268013Click image for larger version

I may be waaay off but it looks like an over abundance of dunnage on right side. Not shue of the thought process on this one. It also looks like the one to the left may be tiny bit off as well. It could be one is trying to out do the other. Who knows.

The biggest question that should be asked is, "Was the camera level when the photo was taken?" And I agree, the trailer on the left appears to be off-level in the opposite direction.

Why? I was merely pointing out that if the ground was not level, the trailer was actually level, and the camera was parallel to the ground (not level), it would give the optical illusion that the ground was level and trailer was not. However, given the relation between both trailers and the fence behind the power pedestal, it is very safe to assume that neither trailer is level. In my previous trailer it would not cause me to roll out of bed, but rather would place my feet above my head.

I think the poster would appreciate the courtesy of assuming s/he know how to use the camera.

Pure speculation here, is it possible they don’t know how to adjust the legs on the steps so they park like that to be able to open the door?
