Standard configuration on "mega cab" RAMS from around 2011 thru ????

See the extra space in the cab behind the rear door? With the longer cab they used the shortbed on the same wheelbase chassis as a non-mega cab longbed.

May be standard configuration, but I just saw my first short bed dually last summer. I really liked it.

Saw this at the dump station. Trailer was probably close ro 40 feet long. But I'm sure they've been "towing it that way for years with no problems."

Vintage Trailer Rally

Pismo Coast Village RV Park had their annual Vintage Trailer Rally on May 20 - 23 with many fine examples of beautifully restored / maintained rigs. After the rally, and the vintage trailers had left, the rig below pulled in. Quite the contrast.

He's probably got airbags - it's level, so it must be fine.

It ain't level! Look how high the front wheel well is, compared to the squatting rear wheel well.

Sorry, forgot to add my sarcasm filter. That comment was pointed at the folks who insist that you are good to go as long as you have enough air pressure (and maybe some overload springs)

I saved many a camper with my 1975 International Scout. I was duly impressed with some of the "fascinating" things people did with vehicles on the beach. Usually ending up in the surf just before high tide.

My Scout.

I've seen that pic many times, on various RV forums. It's Pismo Beach.

No, that's called not paying attention to the tide tables.

No longer just KOA's that are crowded. Been trying three days to find a spot end of July. A ship reunion was short scheduled putting me in a bind trying to find a camp site. I tried out 30 miles from the reunion location. Nothing.
