Fascinating. I wonder what that rig tips the scales at?

Reminds me of a trip to Vermont last year. We went with our friends. They just upgraded to a large 45 foot toy hauler fifth wheel. We stayed at a state park with sites next to each other, and getting his rig in was a chore. On his way out of the park, he took a turn too tight and tore his awnings off of his brand new fifth wheel. Next came time to empty his tanks, and when he took off his caps to hook up his stinky slinky, poo water came flooding out everywhere. It splashed all over him and made a huge mess. He had never closed any of his gate valves in any of his holding tanks. By the time he figured it out, he lost gallons of the slurry. The smell was horrendous, and I know he was having a terrible time... But I just couldn't stop myself from laughing. The whole thing was just awful, but so funny.

Of course, I helped him spray it down and clean it up as best as we could. That was not a great day for him...

At first I thought someone didn't understand the concept of leveling, with this 40 foot tag axle sitting at full leveler extension, eight wheels off the ground, for several days.

But later it appeared that his levelers decided to only go up, not down. Was a full day exercise for the mobile mechanic to get it back down. Had some crazy tilt angles for a while, and at one point he was dragging the front levelers through the sand.

A very colorful rig at the Double J Campground outside of Springfield IL. With dolphins jumping over a sun painted on the side, a heart on the back, the words Bad Bunny and World’s Hottest Tour, I thought for sure this must be a traveling animal act. Nope, just a rapper/singer on tour.

When I first saw this, I thought the driver was about to make a major mistake as he backed toward his site with his tailgate in that position. Nope, the slider hitch on this truck required the tailgate to be partially lowered.

Looks like a great way to trash a tailgate. Wonder how he keeps it in that position ?

These to idiots set up a king size air mattress with an EZ up over it to camp and sleep on the beach. They made the bed in an overly elaborate way with tons of pillows and a fancy comforter. We were laughing the whole time they setup. Within two hours the woman who seems to have planned thi caught on to the facts that it was going to be cold, windy and wet at night and this was a short bus level stupid idea. The man wanted to stay and napped away as she hen pecked and pecked and pecked. It was obvious he had the car keys and he was now in charge. Fighting ensued, a scene was caused and they finally left.

I love a good show at the campsite.

Don't most fifth wheels require that? That's why some trucks around here has these tailgates when I was growing up.

While camping at Eel Weir State Park in Upstate New York we had this come through the campground. It's a 1972. They originally got it in California!

Those folks are what you call "Lost In The 60's". For years, Alaska was a sanctuary for "hippy chicks". These days they're all septuagenarians, if they're still alive.

I am beginning to think of RV Parks as a sort of Never Never Land, somewhere between Fantasy and Reality. The Twilight.
