It looked so lonely and forlorn I went over just to see if it did work. It had a dial tone. In an emergency we could have made a collect call home I guess. Our cell phone was useless.

I give it some props for at least having lights on the front and rear!
But no cup holders.

I've seen a few people(permanent type) put one of those bobble head owls on their roof. I guess to scare the birds away.

In some areas, the police actually wanted them removed because too many drug deals were arranged from them.

Pop,
I watched that one unfold from the Long Distance Operator Services side of the independent industry. The payphones in Atlanta's Hartsfield Airport were a prime example!
Just before I retired I saw an article that discussed the status of payphones in NYC. It stated that the vast majority of the payphones don't work. But the revenues for posting advertisements on the booth or kiosk are so good they leave them in place and pay the associated costs. Plus Superman needs somewhere to change I suppose!

I am truly surprised! Did you notice if it was an AT+T branded (Markings) phone or a local Independent Telephone Company? The independents seem to do a much better job keeping the remaining payphones working.

Metro Atlanta was like that in some areas. In other areas they wanted more payphones. Then the government sponsored "Life Line" cellular service pretty much put an end to the need for payphones and pagers!

It is better to have too much truck than to have too much trailer.

LOL, such a great lead in to the wider picture..
That's a corvette in front, a big motorhome, and a huge & beautiful car trailer.

Well there's nothing like having money. At least they are cool while they hide inside their class A.

Looks like a double-decker car trailer.
Maybe they keep the golf cart in the upper level.
Or that could be their guest house.

Looks like a second A/C. It has a separate cord to the pedestal.

My friend from NH front door view. Pulled him out of the hole and back right back in to it.

Is that the kitchen sink holding up the waste line? If so better get a few more, it has a dip in the slope.
Sorry, just my observation skills. Momma says I need new glasses.

Probably powered by a large onboard generator when using all the air conditioners. Never hear the generator with all the ACs roaring.
