That is the norm here in Florida. Tents with all types and connected A/C units.

No photos, as I was driving...yesterday I saw someone pulling their travel trailer on the shoulder of an exit ramp. He was going really slow. Then I noticed why....he had a flat tire on his trailer. Or rather, the had TWO - one on each side! Not sure why he was still moving. I would have been on the phone to my insurance company for roadside assistance!

No insurance? I think you'd be surprised how many don't have it.

Well, I guess this is the correct topic for this. A few weeks ago we spent a weekend in O'Connells Yogi Bear campground in Amboy, IL. Walking the road around the lake we saw something we've never seen in ove 20 years of camping. A motorhome had his hose stretched out dumping his black tank onto the ground. It was running down across the road and into the lake. Lots of toilet paper and it smelled, it was not gray tank even though that would be bad also. It was an older MH so maybe it only had one tank. We walked up to the office and informed the manager and she gave us a sarcasic "they souldn't be doing that should they?" They absolutely didn't care and this MH continued to dump on the ground all weekend. Here is a picture of the aftermath, there were actual ruts in the ground from their dumping and they would occasionally pick up some of the TP but as you can see, not all. Unbelievable!

I'm pretty sure I would be doing one of 3 things if not all 3 things...
A: say something to the people at the campsite of the motorhome...
B: Demand to speak to a manager or a park official after having the office person speak to me that way.
C: Packing up my site and leaving and asking for a refund(assuming they are near your site, if it's on the other side of the campground I probably wouldn't leave).

The Woman I talked to identified herself as the park manager. They were a long way away from my campsite so no effect on us. They were dumping onto one of the main roads around the pond and most people are zipping by on golf carts but there is still a lot of foot traffic. I can't believe we are the only ones to notice and say something. They were group camping and the MH was turned around on the site and is the reason they were dumping on the ground rather than sewer. So next campers with little kids will be playing in the TP.
Not my job to confront strangers that are not threatening myself or my family, that is the managers job. I still can't believe they didn't care at all.

Wow, that is unbelievable. We've camped there many times before although we haven't been down there in several years. It always seemed like a pretty well run place.

Didn't see this in an RV park, but I'm sure it was heading towards one eventually.
Not sure he's got enough TV, though; he might need a diesel!

If I saw someone dumping into a waterway and received no satisfaction from the campground owner/manager/flunkie, my next move would be to call the local sheriff and/or DNR. No excuse for that behavior.

I'd think the HD would have issues with this.
