I think I saw this one at a show at Diamond Lake, Or with a black fifth wheel attached, probably 15 years ago. If not this one, a very similar tractor. Very cool.

They do sound nice but the trouble with that conversion is the rear ends of the tractor was not designed to handle the extra HP of the flat head V8 and most of those that were worked hard ended up breaking the rear housings.

Here is a good one. This is a friend of mine actually. He arrived before us so I have no idea how he managed to do this. He has been camping with us for years and has put hit trailer in some pretty tight spots, but this day he must have been having a spell. His trailer is 28' in length and the "PULL THROUGH" site he is on is long enough to fit two campers. All he had to do was pull through! He managed to get his trailer straight in line with the concrete pad but I cannot figure out how he could have put his truck where it is.

Was he still hooked up? I see a lot of people back up almost to the hitch when parking.

Possibly an old gearhead? Everyone used to park their vehicle with attitude.

I'm thinking maybe that is not a concrete pad but perhaps an outdoor mat. If it was a concrete pad, wouldn't the trailer belong on the pad? Also who would put a fire ring right next to the pad?
As for the truck angle, who knows? Maybe he just backed in there after setting up?

I saw this truck. Had something to do with yachts on the decals.
He stopped because I was taking pictures and asked if I wanted to buy it; I said no but I'd love to take it for a spin.

We have camped in places where the pad is your patio and you park just like this guy did.

Up here in Canada, I've only seen a paved pad for your trailer at higher end RV Resorts. I've seen a concrete pad for your picnic table or whatever beside the drive through for your camper but that's rare, too - usually at those same high end RV Resorts where they have an asphalt driveway and a concrete patio pad.
We almost always have a gravel/dirt driveway or parking spot and dirt or grass beside that. I see all these pics on here showing paved (asphalt or concrete) driveways and pads for the camper and wonder if that's normal in the US.

Just my opinion, but when you see all of the driveway/pad photos, it's usually just one of us bragging a little. Our current pad is compacted dirt, but we plan to put 16" x 16" x 4" blocks doubled down the wheel path, plus a double row along the front and back tires. That's about 96 blocks to define our parking area. They will be slightly buried, with gravel down the center. Even I should be able to back up onto the designated area.
