I dread the day that I open this thread and see a pic of something silly I’ve done at a campground or while towing posted in here![emoji23]

Maybe the front wheels lift like a normal trailers tongue jack? Either way very cool. The front a frame does not seem to pivot like a normal full trailer so I'd guess they would need to lift.

It has a set up like some heavy utitility trailers I have pulled in the past. We had a generator trailer to power central offices in long standing power problems. Wasn't a tag axle but the front wheels turned like flat towing a car. Beast was heavy!

But were the front wheel connected to the a frame turn? These do not look connected and I would think they would drag unless made to turn by some motor.

Straight axle with a center pivot. Kind of like a farm wagon.

Only thing to stop that fire was removal of the heat by using large quantities of water.
Here at the resort I have that constant nightmare that a staff member will see a fire in a room or the bush and try to be a hero and put it out, just like they see how easy it is in the movies. Instead you RUN for help and let the trained people handle it. The wannabe firefighters who argue that they must go into the building to search and/or rescue someone are going to be the next victims, I tell them to turn on the oven (450F) open the door with your face directly over it and try to breath, they cannot, well a typical framed building fire can hit 900+ in a room.
Just be aware of the limitations of extinguishers and your limitations in a smoke filled space.
Yes, install several smoke detectors, both types as they detect both types of fires.

Could I add, as a 911 Emergency Communication Officer, no matter where you are traveling, always have a location. It is an urban myth we know where you are on a cell phone, we can only get a general location. If you are on a highway, know the mile marker, in a park, know the name and the street you came off of, on a country road the last town you passed the next one you will come to. I cannot get you help if you don't know where you are

I never really studied the set up, but the tongue wasn't connected to the front axle. It had air breaks and all the lights worked and took 2 people to back up. You couldn't back it up by yourself.

Yes but most of the farm wagons I've seen the tongue is connected to the front axle to turn it. That is what is making me very curious.

Similar to as towing a car 4 down. The tongue would pivot up and down with an eye that fit our truck, then chains, air and lighting. The wheels could only turn so far so you could not turn like backing a 5er. Very stable towing I guess because of the weight. If we had to turn tight, would use a boom truck and lift the front to swing it around. That stacker might have a solid axle with kingpins and some kind of linkage to control the wheels turning. That tongue, on close up, pivots up and down.

Imagine the spring-return steering you see on the rear swing-down booster axle on cement mixers. Just like that but in front. I bet it runs a hell of a lot of caster.

Different then when you see tripples running down the interstate.

The trailer behind that brown beast I posted yesterday. That’s one heavy travel trailer.

The beast you posted was a mobile suites and this is a new horizon, or did I miss something? that New horizon looks like a beast also but their website only shows 5th wheels. Now I am thoroughly confused.
