I believe you are referring to a common used siding developed by James Hardy. Trade name of it is HardiBoard. I see it every day in a variety of buildings. And yes, it is a cement based material.

aah yes, the Chevrolet Chalet! Along with it's fraternal twin, the GMC Casa Grande. Remember them well. They never really caught on though. Of course they were introduced in the days of double digit inflation, stagflation and interest rates of 18-20%.

I'm guessing it's a car carrier, due to that triple axle. Can sort of see a potential hinge area around/under the rear window.

Nice setup, whatever it is!

That thread was initiated and mostly populated by a member in Australia. I'll try to find it tomorrow!

That's not the one in the vague section of my gray matter... but it's the right one!

EDIT:

Here's the one I remember ==> http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...er-149958.html. I finally remembered the member's user name.

Now back to your normally scheduled programming.

Not a lot of tongue weight, so doesn't impact payload as much. But does increase the towed weight.

Unless I miss my guess, in Kalifornia, that is considered to be a trailer in its own right - requiring its own license and insurance. At least it is/was that way for commercial trucking.
