Hmm, I wonder if that’s it. I know that transients have to go to the office for most packages. Not sure if the park models do, too.

There are definitely a few folks living year round there.

I'm thinking this hydrant is more usable than whatever bent it over like this.

Wow! I finally finished reading all the posts in this thread! It took weeks since I still work full time and have other obligations as well. Thanks for all the great pictures and friendly banter, I have really enjoyed it. Among the best things I have seen in a campground were both at High Falls State Park in GA. The first was a litter of fox pups playing in the light of our headlights like puppies. We watched them play for quite awhile until Mama Fox made them move away from the edge of the road. The other was the Owl... we had been hearing an owl most of the evening while we were sitting outside and had seen some small rabbits playing in the woods next to us, suddenly we heard the "whoosh, whoosh" of large wings and a huge owl came flying through our campsite headed for the woods. We were in awe. Thankfully we didn't see him get a rabbit. Both of these events happened during the same stay.

He noticed the family was admiring the rig as he drove by so he blew flames out the stacks for the kids.

I've had to do similar on a few occasions where the sewer stand pipe was high like the one in your photo.

I think many campgrounds are going to higher stand pipe connections for several reasons... ground water infiltration on loose or misplaced caps (see water standing in your photo) and it also provides a sort of natural P-trap if the hose is lower then the stand pipe connection keeping out the stink.

I would normally agree with what you said but others nearby are ground level, the storms that came thru yesterday had a river going thru our site, we are at Friendship Village in Bedford on our way home from the Goshen rally

LOL... 30 miles from my house.

Yes it seems the newer sewer ports are much higher there than some of the original.

I was sitting at the picnic table with my laptop and a guy in a Motorhome drives by with his door awning still out. Good thing I can whistle. He was about to take it off at the next tree about twenty feet in front of him. He blamed it on his wife. Hahahahaha. Good luck

Lots of disasters like that can be prevented by designating ONE PERSON to do a final check that everything has been retracted, unhooked, secured, and locked.

Even though my DW says she has done everything, I double check (and don't mention it to her).
