That falls under the "we aren't going to hurt each other, are we?" category.....

Funny thing was, I got close to take pictures and my son was back pedaling telling me, "Dad, you're too close. Dad, back up. DAD!"
I responded, "Nah, he was walking pretty slow. I'm fine."
And then a friend tells me they jump.
And now you tell me they throw belly barbs.

Not barbs from their belly but very fine hairs from the abdomen on top. The big fat part. They will turn away from you and if you see them flicking their back legs across their back then they are trying to throw the hairs. The hairs are very fine and do have small barbs that can irratate mucus membranes and skin. Think pink fibreglass itching. I used to work as a manager in the fush and reptile dept of SuperPet years ago. Only thing I couldnt stand was spiders. Once had a 100 dollar bet that i couldnt hold one for 3 minutes. I failed after 20sec The sweat was pouring off my forehead and they said i turned ghost white.
Snakes lizards even scorpions no problem but spiders nope they get the size 13 shoe treatment followed by a big can of Raid Spider Blaster.

Saw this one at a local state park a couple of weeks ago. The fiberglass is extremely wavy. Just hard to tell in the pics. Maybe trying to cover it with the wood. Sure looks heavy.

My guess is: Someone wanted to fit in with the "tiny house" crowd, but didn't want to take the time to actually build a tiny house.
I'm on a couple tiny house forums from when I built my cabin, and let me tell you, they look DOWN on RV people. Especially when you point out you could buy a nicer, and lighter camper for what they have in their tiny-homes-on-wheels. AND wind up with more room, because RV's have slideouts and tiny houses don't.
