When I was a kid we had a neighbor who took his old outhouse, relocated, and used it for a smokehouse. Similar concerns.

For those that travel in a class a; if you don't have a 2nd vehicle behind that, how do you get around while it's in for repair? My assumption is it might be a while. Do you rent a car and stay at a hotel until you get it back? How long do you do that before you go back home, if you have one to go back to?

We’ll deal with the situation when/if it happens. Speculation can take forever to come up with a solution.
One might ask what you’ll do if your pickup is in for repair.
Will you get a rental?
A rental car? A rental truck?
What happens if you need to move your trailer from it’s location or the campground?
You see……it can go on forever.

Wasn't trying to come across as snarky like you. However, you are correct about speculation. Was asking questions to see if I wanted to move up to a class a in the future and I'm a planner.
For the record I have 2 trucks that can easily handle my TT, several family members that will come to my rescue and a home to go back to. But thanks for asking!

X2! That's it in a nutshell. It's called Plan B.

Yea exactly. Try to rent a truck with a fifth wheel or goose neck hitch.

Not trying to steal the thread. But your example is sort of my original point. Having to rent a specific truck is less of an issue (in my opinion only) than having no place to stay if you have to take your class a-c in for service and add that you also have no transportation to get anywhere. With all of the posts I read saying repairs take months because they are waiting on parts. Just makes me very hesitant to ever go full time and give up my bricks and sticks.
Haven't been doing this anywhere near as long as others and have the skills to repair just about anything in my house. I don't pretend to know about fixing engines or axle replacement. The posts about bizarre repairs that I take for granted not happening on my truck seem endless. Are they the exception but get blown out of proportion? Are they "operator error" or manufacturer issues?
All my camper issues seem minor in comparison. Not looking for anyone to solve my thought exercise. Just thinking out loud.

An issue I did not consider but think is also a good explanation. Which comes with it's own complications.
