Think Safety for the Start of the Season

Goes without saying…most of us here already practice safe habits while traveling but this is just a reminder to check and re check everything. Not only for your safety but others as well. Most of us have gone months without towing a trailer and need to bush up not only on the driving skills but a complete review of all the critical components.
Check and double check:
Hitch work including all bolts and clips
Inspect EQ bars, brackets and pins for problems
Check all your tires for not only pressure but wear and rot. Replace if necessary. Don’t forget the spare!
Check your lights
Check your wheel bearings for excessive play, re-pack if it’s due
Check your Fire extinguishers, also take them out and shake them up to re distribute the chemical
Check your TV tires and pressure
Replace all the smoke, and CO batteries in the camper and test them all.
Torque your Wheel lugs on the Camper
Open all escape windows, they like to glue themselves shut over the winter!

I know others have more to add….Please do!

Check your camper battery for state of charge and load test and clean terminals as your camper battery also functions the break away device should your camper become "unhooked"

Also pull your break away pin to make sure its working properly.

That's good info. I use the RV check app for the iPhone and the majority of what you suggested is on my pre trip checklist. You can customize it and comes in handy checking off things like what you said. Easier than trying go off the top of my head.
