Tire temps/pressure

Iím still new to all this and have another question. I have read about the China bombs and am going to replace, probably with the Goodyear endurance. Before we get them changed we are going on a short trip this weekend, about 40 miles or so. We have a FR Vibe 288rls, about 7k pounds. The question is do I inflate to the maifactirer recommended pressure (65psi) or am I better to go a little lower to prevent overheating? This is the last trip on the cheapies

Quite the opposite. Do NOT under inflate. Under inflation is what causes overheating. Inflate to the recommended of 65psi.

.... and don't do like some others do. They arrive at their destination, check the pressures, and of course, they're much higher because they've been on the road and they're hot. So they deflate them down to what they were originally at.

Of course, when they cool down, they're way too low.

On the front left side of your trailer is a cluster of stickers. One of them gives the recommended tire pressure. And like someone said, check your tire pressure when the tires are cold.
